This is our Architecture body report based on the observations inside Old Fadama, our primary site of focus in Accra. Its a compilation of the various materials used with basic details of construction techniques.
My name is Sybil, a 2nd year Graduate student in the Community and Regional Planning Program at the university of New Mexico, U.S.
I'm working on a Professional Project on old Fadama but having problems with communication (People's Dialogue) or finding a partner to work with me in sharing informations. I have been thinking of this slums for a while and as a native of Accra, Ghana i have a strong Disapproval of the government and more of a community base process pupil.
I came across the UE Blog in search of peoples dialogue in Ghana and will like to share information and how i could help with the little planning tools that i may have. I'm more incline to partner with this group to get my feet more wet as to bring about a community base practice.
